City of Clocktown

City of Clocktown was founded by Zach (a.k.a. Sheikah Link) in November (or possibly December) 2000 following the release of Majora’s Mask. The site was originally titled “Forest of Mystery” and later renamed “Land of Termina” before finally settling on the City of Clocktown name for the majority of its existence. No archives of the original versions of the site remain, and City of Clocktown was officially launched on February 20, 2001.

City of Clocktown had a rough existence of jumping between hosts and URLs. Notably, it was the first site hosted by E-Zelda.

Though originally focused on Majora’s Mask, the site features sections for every Zelda game, tools for other Zelda webmasters, various fan works (including some preserved Zelda fan art), and more.

Zach had a strong connection with The Desert Colossus. He worked on the site as a contributor, and considered the website to be the “brother-site” of City of Clocktown. Nexus of The Desert Colossus created the “Version 2” layout for City of Clocktown.

The final update references the Space Shuttle Columbia disaster.
